Colin Gwillim is a Policy Intern with the Vandenberg Coalition. He recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Illinois College (Jacksonville, IL) where he obtained his B.A. in political science and history and was inducted into the college’s chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. In college, Colin worked as a Student Speech Advisor in the campus’s Speech Communication Center and as a Congressional Intern in the Jacksonville district office of Congressman Darin LaHood (IL 18). He presented his senior capstone research on “The Geneva Conventions: Their Applicability to al Qaeda Insurgents During the War on Terror, and their Relevance in the Changing Landscape of Contemporary Warfare” at the 2022 National Conference on Undergraduate Research. Colin is especially interested in foreign policy development, international affairs, and national security. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and hiking.
