Anne Lord

Anne Lord currently serves as the Vandenberg Coalition’s Government Affairs Manager. Prior to joining Vandenberg, she worked with Innovative Federal Strategies, a small defense-oriented firm, where she provided strategic policy research.

Prior to her time with IFS, Anne received her Master’s in Strategic Studies from the University of St. Andrew’s in Scotland where she completed a dissertation analyzing Chinese and Russian cases of counterinsurgency to determine the relationship between counterinsurgency and authoritarian regime type. During her time at St. Andrew’s, Anne also served as a National Security Innovation Network X-Force Fellow where she worked with the I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group to explore private industry market research practices and their applicability to Information Operations and to develop an assessment framework for humanitarian response in Indonesia.

Anne also brings hill experience with her to Vandenberg, having served three years on Capitol Hill in the office of Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE). Her portfolio included national security, defense, and foreign affairs issues.

In her spare time, Anne volunteers as a Domestic Violence Outreach Coordinator for Catholic Charities and serves as a social media coordinator for St. Joseph’s Young Adult Ministry. She also spends time enjoying the many art museums DC has to offer.
