Zachary Welch is a Policy Intern for the summer of 2024. He is a senior Aequitas Fellow, and track athlete at Wheaton College, studying International Relations, Economics, and Urban Studies. On campus, he has served in the leadership of Student Government, International Justice Mission, and founded a chapter of the Alexander Hamilton Society. During college, Mr. Welch interned for the International Trade Administration, a non-profit in Costa Rica, an international impact investment venture capital firm, and a start-up strategy consultancy. In 2023, Mr. Welch received full scholarship to The Fund for American Studies’ National Security + Defense Washington Program and was a 2024 Truman Scholarship finalist. Mr. Welch’s interests focus on national security, economic statecraft, and United States Foreign Policy. He is a proud native of Louisville, Kentucky.
