Earlier this year, The Vandenberg Coalition celebrated our five-year anniversary. From the beginning, we have built an Advisory Board with some of the smartest, most accomplished conservative foreign policy experts in the game today. As we face ever growing challenges, our goal continues to be to build an updated conservative foreign policy— building on what has worked in the past and learning from what has not—capable of securing the safety, freedom, and prosperity of Americans across our country for generations to come. That means always growing to include new voices, with updated perspectives on how to address today’s most pressing challenges.  Accordingly, we are honored to announce the four newest members of our Advisory Board, who share our mission and commitment to the American people. Please join us in welcoming our newest members:

Alexander B. Gray: Alex is the Chief Executive Officer of American Global Strategies LLC, an international strategic advisory firm that he co-founded with former U.S. National Security Advisor Robert C. O’Brien. In addition to the day-to-day management of the firm, his wide-ranging practice includes the defense, aerospace, maritime, and technology sectors. Alex most recently served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff of the White House National Security Council (NSC), where he directed the daily operations of the National Security Advisor’s immediate office, as well as the budget, personnel, and security functions of the NSC.

Bradley Bowman: Brad serves as senior director of the Center on Military and Political Power at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. Previously, he has served as a national security advisor to members of the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations committees, as well as an active-duty U.S. Army officer, Black Hawk pilot, and assistant professor at West Point. He is co-author of the book Axis of Aggressors: Countering the Cooperation of China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.

Julie Chung: Ambassador Chung is currently a Distinguished Fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Indo-Pacific Security Initiative in the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security and the South Asia program. She is also a Senior Advisor for the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University and Advisory Council member. She served as U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka from 2022 – 2026, where she strengthened maritime security in close coordination with Quad partners. Ambassador Chung also served as Acting Assistant Secretary and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the State Department’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs from 2019-2021, where she coordinated multinational sanctions against the Maduro regime in Venezuela and launched new partnerships between Taiwan and countries in the region.

Kim Breier:  Kim is a policy and intelligence professional with more than 25 years of experience in foreign policy, primarily focused on Western Hemisphere affairs. She is a Senior Advisor at Torridon Law and Torridon Group, and she previously served as co-chair of the Public Policy Group and Senior Advisor for Latin America at Covington & Burling, based in Washington, DC.  She was appointed by President Trump and unanimously confirmed by the Senate as Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs in 2018.  Kim also served as the Western Hemisphere Member of the Policy Planning Staff at the Department of State and was a career official for more than a decade at the CIA.
