Millicent Hennessey is the Deputy Director for Policy in Aerospace & Defense at GlobalFoundries, a U.S.-headquartered semiconductor foundry with a global footprint across the United States, Singapore, and Germany. In this role she shapes GlobalFoundries policies towards supply chain resiliency, coordinates with U.S. allies and partners, and executes the company’s strategic engagement. Previously, she worked at Samsung Semiconductor, where she managed the company’s Trade, Supply Chain, and China portfolios.
Prior to joining the semiconductor industry, Millicent served on the National Security Council from 2017-2022 in the Asia Directorate and in the Office of the National Security Advisor. She served as Chief of Staff to the Deputy National Security Advisor, where she played a key role in developing and implementing a new U.S. government approach to China.
Millicent graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Chinese Language & Culture and minor in Politics & International Affairs, and she served as the Wake Forest President’s Fellow and as Student Trustee on the Board of Trustees at Wake Forest University.
