KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Serve as a key voice and face of The Vandenberg Coalition among young leaders;
2. Manage the strategy and operations of existing and future Emerging Leaders programming, including the Valiant Women series, Dinner and Discussion series, the National Security Media Fellowship, and internship programming;
3. Work closely with the Executive Director, Senior Policy Director, and Chief of Staff to design and implement new programs to cater to emerging leaders in the foreign policy community;
4. Establish organizational and operational partnerships with other fellowship and internship organizations;
5. Identify top candidates for Emerging Leaders programs and develop admissions criteria where necessary.
6. Maintain extensive records of those involved in young leaders’ programming, including a detailed resume bank, to help them advance in their careers;
7. Take on and assist with other projects and tasks that may be assigned to you from time to time.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, or a related field;
2. 2–4 years of previous full-time work experience; previous internship or professional experience in events, logistics, or external affairs, or communications is preferred.
3. High level of organizational skill;
4. Ability to work independently and proactively seeks to enhance efficiency;
5. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment;
6. Detail oriented, poised, and able to work well with others internally and externally;
7. Mission oriented with a desire to make an impact on our network.

What Is the Vandenberg Coalition?
Founded in 2021, The Vandenberg Coalition (TVC) is a 501(c)(3), non-partisan network of conservative foreign policy leaders, both experts and practitioners, that prepares current and future national security leaders with the context, network, and vision that harnesses principled American leadership to overcome the most significant national security challenges of our time. The network includes over 120 national security experts and former government officials who are collectively involved in:
Hosting foreign policy and national security briefings for state and congressional leaders as well as candidates for federal office;
Developing an “Experts Network” that can be offered to other institutions, the press, or candidates and Members of Congress to build out their expertise;
Developing a network of young foreign policy experts who can staff incoming Congressional and Presidential offices/administrations;
Organizing educational events with aligned organizations, think tanks, and scholars;
Providing briefing papers and news-of-the-day bulletins on key national security topics to candidates and Members of Congress, and providing messaging to make these topics accessible to constituents;
Serving as a connector for incoming Members of Congress and candidates for federal office with the D.C. think tank and educational community.
