TikTok Survey Topline Poll Results: February 2025

The Vandenberg Coalition worked with J.L. Partners to survey 1,017 registered voters online from February 7 to February 9. Questions measured TikTok’s usage and respondents’ familiarity with the app, TikTok’s ownership, and its impact on national security and American politics. Additional detail is available upon request. TikTok is no doubt a popular platform. 77 percent of respondents are familiar with TikTok, and 57
percent of respondents with an account reported using the app at least once daily, if not several times a
day. Despite its popularity, polling shows that voters are concerned about nefarious activity by its Chinese owners and expressed a sense of urgency to protect its 170 million American users.

Ticking Time Bomb of TikTok

From President Donald Trump’s 2020 Executive Order highlighting the threat posed by CCP-control
over TikTok, to the Senate and House’s bipartisan legislation, to a 9-0 decision by the Supreme Court,
the last few years have seen strong agreement on the importance of forcing CCP-controlled company
ByteDance to divest from TikTok. President Trump has issued a new Executive Order delaying
enforcement of the law…

NEW: Vandenberg Coalition Report Proposes Revamped Middle East Approach

With chaos growing across the Middle East, the Vandenberg Coalition assembled a working group of Middle East experts to identify critical policy recommendations for the new administration to strengthen U.S. policy towards the Middle East and place that policy squarely in line with America’s interests.

The group convened under the collective recognition that the failed policies of the past four years cannot continue if the United States is to extinguish the fire ablaze in the Middle East. The status quo of appeasement is no longer viable or desirable given the threat landscape, and pulling back from the Middle East would gift the region to China, Russia, and Iran on a silver platter…

Deals of the Century: Solving the Middle East

This report is the product of a months-long working group composed of conservative Middle East experts.
It was convened in 2024 and 2025 under the auspices of The Vandenberg Coalition. It was drafted by Daniel Samet.
Hamas’ October 7 attacks, during which over 1,200 Israelis and over 40 Americans were slaughtered and
hundreds of others taken hostage in Gaza, should serve as a reminder that American retreat results in
chaos. The current state of affairs in the Middle East underscores this fact. Lebanese Hezbollah threatened civilian and military targets across Israel. The Houthis’ drone and missile attacks have…

The Hour of Maximum Danger: Secretary Robert Wilkie’s Remarks at the Roanoke Conference

As thousands of rockets rained down on Israel, the world’s oldest hatred–anti-Semitism–reared its head in places once thought unimaginable–in my own hometown of New Orleans.

New Orleans is America’s most eclectic, eccentric, and bizarre city. It is the birthplace of America’s only native art form–jazz. The genius of Buddy Bolden, Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton, Sidney Bechet, Mahalia Jackson, and of course Satchmo– Louis Armstrong erupted from its streets.

America’s greatest literary artists were either natives of the Crescent City or came to it for inspiration…

The Vandenberg Coalition and The McCain Institute at Arizona State University (ASU) convened conservative thought leaders to outline their view of what an effective United States strategy for countering Russia should look like.

The Vandenberg Coalition Honors and Remembers the Victims and Heroes of the September 11th Attacks

A Message From Our Executive Director Carrie Filipetti:

I will always have a hole in my heart from September 11, 2001. I was 12, and safe in my school in suburban New York when it happened. The significance of the day for me, at least at first, was marked only by the unusual frequency with which peers were being pulled out of school. It wasn’t until I got home that I understood what had happened…

Secretary Wilkie’s Remarks on Foreign Policy

We must stand against the savagery of the mullahs, or what will this country become? This is not a Jewish problem; it’s a question of humanity. If we don’t stand, if we don’t proclaim the greatness and goodness of the American nation, one day they will come for us and there will be new billboards on Bragg Boulevard.

A New Coalition to Advance U.S. Global Interests

By Elliott Abrams

The Wall Street Journal

April 28, 2021

The U.S. is at a critical crossroads when it comes to the defense of American freedom, security and prosperity. Around the world, the U.S. faces significant national-security threats […] None of these challenges will disappear if America abandons the international role it has maintained since World War II as the superpower leader of the free world. Each threat requires U.S. leadership if the country’s security, economic interests, and values are to be protected. That is why today I am joining with 75 other national security scholars and practitioners to launch the Vandenberg Coalition, a new network committed to advancing a strong and proud American foreign policy.
