The Vandenberg Coalition aims to shape a strong, principled, and future-oriented U.S. foreign policy rooted in American security, prosperity, and freedom. Our projects include regular interviews, podcasts, and policy briefings as well as leadership in network-building and professional development.
Senator Vandenberg called for “honest candor” in discussions on U.S. foreign policy. The Vandenberg Coalition is proud to continue this tradition by sharing the best analysis from across the country and around the world, regularly reporting strategic briefings and interviewing policy experts to examine pressing global challenges.
Leadership development is central to the Vandenberg Coalition’s mission. Initiatives include the National Security Media Fellowship, which equips emerging journalists with tools for thoughtful foreign policy reporting, the Valiant Women Series, which fosters mentorship and networking for women in national security, and the Vandenberg National Security Council (VNSC), which nurtures rising policy experts, connecting them with key stakeholders to drive innovative, actionable ideas in U.S. foreign policy and national defense.
The Vandenberg Coalition’s Book Talks are a dynamic, expert-led salon series where authors of timely U.S. foreign policy and national security books present and discuss their ideas with Vandenberg Coalition moderators, offering attendees thoughtful insights and actionable takeaways.
These sessions, recorded and available online, feature in-depth dialogue on critical themes such as China’s ascendance, Republican grand strategy, and national renewal. Each Book Talk brings together seasoned authors and analysts to unpack strategic challenges and policy solutions, followed by Q&A and audience interaction.
