Robert Gioia is a Government Affairs intern for the summer of 2024. He monitors and briefs foreign policy legislation, provides research for congressional candidate positions, and assists the Director of Government Affairs, Anne Lord. 

Rob is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is a rising sophomore at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor (UM). He intends to major in Political Science. In Ann Arbor, Rob is an editor for the American Politics section of the Michigan Journal of Political Science and a writer for the UM Alexander Hamilton Society Hamiltonian Statecraft. In D.C, Rob is a 2024 Hamiltonian National Fellow where he studies American grand strategy and national security. He holds interests in American politics, constitutional law, international trade and diplomacy, and classical studies.
